A Sailor Went To Sea Dramatic Play Set
It’s time for an underwater adventure! Take to the high seas with our sailor friend to see what she can see see see. This dramatic play set helps kids learn the name of sea creatures in a fun, hands-on way.  
Combine the play set with this easy to make newspaper sailor hat for an ocean theme unit, Talk Like A Pirate Day, or just for fun.

Materials needed: a cardboard box, blue paint, paintbrush, “A Sailor Went To Sea” coloring pages, markers or crayons, scissors, laminator, a smaller piece of cardboard, glue or tape, a small piece of fabric, and a straw or stick for the flag.

Cut out the characters. Laminate to make them sturdier.

Make a boat with two pieces of cardboard. You can add a flag made from fabric.

Make a boat with two pieces of cardboard with the sides and bottom glued or taped together. Leave the top part open. Attach the fabric to the stick to make a flag. Decorate it with a nautical themed image. Insert the flag into the boat.
